It’s been epic

Ya so this week has been epic. We’ve been teaching a lot of the same people and they’ve really been growing their testimonies so much. It’s been amazing to see their progress as we’ve been teaching them. School just started up here which kinda sucks because that means a lot of our investigators aren’t available during the day.

A lots been happening so ill just give a few of my favorite experiences this week.

First, there’s this amazing investigator we got. His name is George. He’s always been a religious man and loved God. He’s been going to a lot of different churches but never been to ours. His son is a recent convert from a different area and he asked if we could teach and study with his dad. So we are. We’ve had some amazing discussions with him about the gospel, families, the Restoration, and the Book of Mormon. Best experience this week, when we were teaching about Joseph Smith and the Restoration and BOM. When we were talking about the BOM, he said “can I have one. I’ve only seen pictures and heard of it and I know I need to read it.” When I finished explaining what it is and how we got it, wrote a few or my favorite scriptures in it, I handed a BOM to him. I’m not lying when he was glowing with excitement and joy! He’s already in Mosiah and we just gave him one on Wednesday! So pray for George to gain a testimony of the gospel because I know he’s gonna have such a strong testimony.

Second, we put three people on date this week. Lincoln, Jeffrey, and Emanuel. So pray for them as we continue to prepare them and study with them. Their baptism is in October so keep praying for them haha!

Third, I went on an exchange with my zone leader Elder Pelo this week. He’s such an awesome missionary and I learned so much from him. We got to walk along the beach and see this abandoned building named Hotel Africa. It looks like tower of terror in real life haha. Such a pretty area and definitely had some amazing and spiritual experiences then!

Invitation time: I’ve been reading a lot of talks from President Holland. My two favorites have been Safety for the Soul, and A High Priest of Good Things to Come, my dad’s favorite talk haha. I’ve listened to them so much and there’s some amazing stuff in them. So I encourage you all to read or listen to them cause they are absolutely life changing.

Love you all! Send pics and emails!
