This week was a grind but went by way to fast. It’s gross how fast time is going by haha. I don’t really know what to talk about so I’ll just give the good ol rundown of the week. 

Tuesday – we started to do some finding today. Not the biggest fan of that one. For those of you who don’t know, I’m not the biggest of social people and I hate talking to strangers. But being a missionary, I kind of have to. A lot. But I am getting better haha. Anyway, we did end up finding a few people that seem interested so we’ll see how they go. Okay now for the epic part of the day and pretty much the whole week. We went and taught George, my favorite ol pa and taught him about baptism, which he’s been asking for awhile now. And then I got to extend the baptismal invitation! The Spirit was so strong and George started to cry while he said he would love to. Big mega epic. The cool thing is he said he would love to wait so he could get baptized at the same time as his wife. His wife isn’t super interested so we have to work with her. But pray for George cause he’s awesome! 

Wednesday – we were able to teach a few lessons during the morning to some of our strong investigators which was nice. But we ended up having workers in our compound come to fix all our plumbing. Cause it turns out there was a leak in a bunch of the water pipes and mold was growing all over our house. Not fun! So we had to be in our apartment all afternoon which I do not like. So I made some pancakes for lunch, we had some great companionship study, played some Frisbee and ping pong, and ended up calling a bunch of people in our system to see who’s interested and who’s not. So pretty productive not gonna lie. And then that night, I made fufu Congolese. All by myself. So ya that’s a win. 

Thursday – average day just teaching all day. Pretty awesome though cause we got George’s wife to join our lesson. Nice. Okay crazy story of the week. We were walking to a members house and forgot about their giant bees nest they have in their roof. So ya we walked right next to it. And got swarmed. It was wild. We scattered everywhere and got chased by these angry African bees. Elder Batila got hit bad, like stung 10ish times. Some of the family got stung too. But for some reason, they didn’t get me at all. I booked it out of there so fast and they didn’t really follow me. Thank goodness cause I hate bees. The rest of the lesson they kept on buzzing around us but didn’t really sting us. But it definitely was a reminder to me not to mess with African wildlife. 

Friday – holy crap we got fed so much today. We had at least like 4 to 5 free meals from members. It was so nice. Big miracle for the week!!! The internet provider changed the bundles they offer. So we had to change the bungle the mission normally gets for everyone. And the mission office chose the best one possible. I am proud to say we now have 25 gigs of data a month! Almost made me cry cause I was so happy haha. But ya that was big epic. 

Saturday – another good day filled with lessons and contacting with members. Got a few free meals too haha. 

Sunday – we had quite a few of our friends come to church today which is always awesome to see. Today was filled with member visits and free meals galore. 

Invitation for da week: one thing I have been focusing on this week is our baptismal covenant we make. So there’s a scripture that I love. D&C 20:37. It talks about thr requirement for baptism. So I want yall to go evaluate yourselves and see how you’re doing with those. It’s awesome and a great way to see how you’re doing with your testimony. 

Another invitation. Pray for my koloqua haha. It’s getting there. But it’s still got a long way to go. Some people understand me fine but others don’t have a clue what I’m saying. So ya that would be nice. 

And also pray for the missionaries around the world cause they epic too. 

Overall, a pretty chill week and I can’t wait for this week. Cause tomorrow we got zone conference! I love it. Can’t wait for our next baptism too so pray for that one too. Until next time, keep getting drawn into your scriptures. Ba bye-o!
