Alright so this last week was full of crazy crazy stuff. So I’ll just get right into it with the highlights for the week.
– we had three birthdays to celebrate this week. Elder Frisby had his on Tuesday. I made some baller fried rice for dinner and I must say, I am very proud of myself for that one hahaha. It was very humbly bussing. We went and got cobo during lunch with him and we had this super good potato green. Elder Batila had his own birthday on Thursday. We went to the nice cobo shop for lunch and got some fire jaloff rice. But it was pretty expensive for rice hahaha. Later that night, we made some soft tacos. Holy that was a miracle. Definitely a good ol taste from home haha. The last one on Saturday was a members birthday, Joseph Flomo. We got to go to his house and say hi to him. And we also got a nice FM so that’s always epic. When we were getting ready to leave, they made me fetching dance for everyone. And I don’t dance. Hehe only the real ones get that one haha. But anyway they made me dance for a little and it was so awkward. But that’s just me haha.
– crazy food story for the week. I tried this new soup from a members house. It’s called bitterball tobogi. If you’re confused what that means, makes sense. Cause I’m confused why they eat this stuff. Basically it’s this soup that is soooooo bitter and sour and gross. And the tobogi part means they load it up with a bunch of baking soda. Ya they say that it cleans your stomach. Which I guess is true but not in the good way. Because of the plenty tobogi, it’ll run your stomach a looooooot. So I was terrified when I ate it. I must be superman or just had a lot of faith because it didn’t hurt me that bad. But it got Elder Batila bad haha poor guy.
– okay now for the crazy part of the week. Because of the whole election thing and all the new missionaries coming in, they split this transfer into two 3-week mini transfers. So we got transfer news this week. On Thursday, we got a call from the APs. Elder Batila looked at me and said haha you’re gonna train. And then they said Elder Batila you’re going to train and your trainee will be here tomorrow. I was just dying laughing cause the face he made was hilarious haha. But the new missionary is a cool guy. Elder Waissone is from Mozambique so he speaks Portuguese and he’s learning English. Sheesh the fact this guy has to learn Koloqua too… I feel so bad for the guy haha. But that’s why we got the gift of tongues baby! Okay now for the craaaaaazy part. On Saturday, we got another call for the APs cause that’s when the real transfer news comes in. I was thinking nothing of it cause they had told me on Thursday that they would call on Saturday to tell me my new companion. Well, they called that night. And they asked me a crazy question. If I’ll train. So I’m TRAINING!!! Not gonna lie, I don’t know what to think haha. I wont know who I’m training til Tuesday so this is gonna be while. So I’ll be staying in Brewerville which means I’ll be here til February. Which is crazy to think cause I’ll be here for like 6 months. But ya so I’ll make sure to update everyone next week on how the training goes haha. Elder Folsom will be going but Elder Frisby will be staying and getting a new companion. Elder Batila and his trainee will move just down the road so we’ll still be in the same district which will be epic. And we’ll both be training at the same time.
– okay for those of you who remember, me and Elder Batila got chased by Phillip last week. Well the same thing happened this Sunday. We were getting pretty mad and stuff so we finally just walked back to the church. Bishop Sayon was able to talk to him and we figured out he’s heavily heavily into drugs. So he’s just super messed up in the head because of it. But he’s also been stealing from a bunch of people in the church so now we finally know who it is. Anyway we’re just hoping everything gets figured out soon.
– we put Ruthetta on date this week! She’ll be baptized on December 16th which is gonna be big epic cause I’ll still be here.
That’s pretty much all the big fun stuff for the week haha. Still trying to process it all. Can’t wait to start though cause this is gonna be epic. If the Lord trusts me this much, I just gotta make sure I don’t mess up hahaha.
Almost forgot the good ol invitation: not gonna lie Im gonna need a little help with training haha. So if anyone has advice for me, please send me some haha. And also pray for our investigators cause we got some strong ones that we might put on date soon.
Love ya all! Keep sending emails and pics. It’s always a highlight for the day. Keep doing the small and simple things. They work just trust.
Jesus loves you!
