Yep. I can say it. Missionary work is a divine grind. But we’ll keep trying small small. Honestly though, I’m loving it. So here’s just the few updates for the week.
– ZONE CONFERENCE!!! Always one of my favorite times of the transfer. I love just seeing other missionaries, learning new things, and seeing the progress this mission is having. And the amount of inspiration I get is insane. It always shows me how much better I can do as a missionary. But in a kind and loving way haha. After this ZC, I’m so excited to see what’s in store for 2024. It’s gonna be epic!
– we’ve been dropping a looooot of people this week. Which means a looooot of finding to do. And I’m not gonna lie. It’s been a grind. So far we haven’t found anyone very serious which is tough. But we just gotta press forward and trust that the Spirit will direct and guide us to those who are ready to receive and accept this gospel. So pray for our success haha cause we need it.
– I was a trainer for about 45 minutes! It’s a long story. But my trainee came on Saturday. And basically he’s going through some really hard times and doesn’t want to be here in Liberia. He’s been serving the past 9 months in his home land of Samoa due to visa issues. He told President Thomas that he wants to go back home and continue his service in Samoa. So the APs brought him on Saturday, but because he didn’t really want to go, they took him back to the mission office. I got to meet him and talk with him for a while before he left. His name was Elder Ki. He was a big guy but didn’t talk much. Honestly it was kind of sad to see him go. But I just gotta trust in the Lord that it was all for a reason. I should find out soon if I’ll be training another missionary or not though.
– we have a baptism this Saturday! We’ve been teaching Ruthetta for awhile now and she’s finally ready to be baptized. So that’s always such a motivating thing to see your efforts start to pay off. So pray for her that she’ll continue to prepare and be ready for her first step on the covenant path!
– someone please please please send me an update about the Phoenix suns. Someone told me they’re doing mid but I refuse to believe it.
– we’ve been watching the Christ child a lot with people we have been studying with. I love that video! It’s so powerful and always makes me cry hahaha. But during this Christmas season, continue to light the world. Remember our Savior. Thsts what Christmas is about. Love your families and remember Jesus Christ. Without Him, life would be chacla. So learn to love Him. It’ll change your life.
Anyways, missionary work is tough. But amazing and so rewarding. I’m loving it and learning to love the hard and trying times. Keep getting drawn into your scriptures! Sorry for the shorter email but today was crazy.
Jesus loves you BAWAY!!!
