First things first. I need a Suns report. Someone told me D Book dropped another 50 and I need to know if it’s true haha. Dang. What a week. So many miracles and awesome things happened!
I’m still in the beginning of training a new missionary so I’m still kind of the one doing everything. Ya it was a struggle at first. But now the work is starting to improve so it’s been awesome. It’s been a lot of hard work but hey it pays off a looooot. This area has been struggling for a bit but I’ve just continued to trust in the Lord and keep working hard and have faith that people will come, they will keep commitments and that we will be guided to the elect. And holy cow was I right. We were able to find 9 new people this last week…. Which all of them came to church! Guys. That never happens only very rarely. But it happened! So it was so awesome to see all our efforts start to pay off. Weve even been teaching a lot more lessons than we normally do so it’s been awesome to see everything start to work out.
A few people to pray for:
– Abraham Tolbert: a small boy we just put on date last week. He’s awesome. He reminds me a lot of Harvey so I just pretend he’s my own little brother away from home haha. Love this kid. He does so awesome and we have so much fun together! So pray that he continues to prepare for his baptism next month!
– Hawa Dougla: this Ma is the best!!! She makes us food every Sunday and his always giving us biscuits, soft drinks, anything you name it she’ll do what she can to get it for you. She’s so kind and awesome. She’s been studying with missionaries for a while now but because of some personal things and struggles, she hasn’t been able to be baptized. But she’s made sure all her children have been. And now we’ve gotten the all clear from bishop to baptize her!!! So pray for Hawa as we help her to prepare for baptism!!!
– Joyce Tokpah: this girl is the cutest. She’s always coming up to me and giving me a hug and asking if we can watch BOM videos on my phone hahaha. She’s the daughter of the ward clerk so we don’t teach her cause she’s a child of record. But this last week her dad asked us to come teach her one time as she prepares to be baptized this week! While we were studying with her, she stopped me and said, “Elder Good Man will you pray for me?” good gosh it was so cute haha so I told her I would and all my friends and family back home would too. She’s even asked for me to be the one to baptize her but I’m like nah let your dad do it haha. But she’s awesome so pray for Joyce
– All our new people! We’ve got some awesome people that we are teaching now and are all doing so good! So pray for their continued commitment and support and understanding!
– pray for my boys. Elder Nelson and Elder Huffaker got typhoid. Sorry ya! So pray for their recovery. Elder Criddle just went home cause he’s gotta get surgery for his shoulder. Man’s a dawg and so sad to see him go but pray for him as he goes through this hard time. All my missionaries in the mission and around the world. We can feel all your prayers and ask for your continued support.
Yesterday at church I gave a talk. It’s kinda hard to give a talk here cause you gotta keep it so simple and try not to sound too American haha or they won’t understand you. But I can a talk on the atonement and charity. Dang guys. My testimony about the power of His Atonement is so strong! It’s always been one of the most powerful and important parts of my testimony. It’s real! I want you all to study how powerful it is and life changing it can be. And so is charity! Charity helps us in all things. In just my short time being a missionary I’ve seen how powerful it can be for anyone and everyone.
Other than that it’s just been another week full of the grind! Training is always tough but it’s so much fun too! Love ya all and send me pics and emails!
Jesus loves you baway ooooooo!!!!!
Elder Good Man
