Ayo what’s up my people? How ya comin on ooooo?! It’s been an okay week but ended up being awesome! So I’ll just give a few of the highlights.
– had an awesome p day last week cause the supermarket restocked everything. They had so much good stuff but it was all sooooooo expensive. For example, a box of resses puffs, $17. So ya it was epic but also way depressing. I did get some microwave popcorn for myself so that was epic.
– had my interview with President Thomas for the transfer which meant we also all got to talk with Sister Thonas. You would be lying if you said they’re not the best mission leaders ever. Always one of my favorite times of the transfer. Me and Sister Thomas were talking about all the good ol stuff I liked to do back home. Turns out they love to go to the lake to so that was sick. My interview with President was big epic like always. I always come out of them on a spiritual high and with just so much motivation. We had a great discussion about the area, training, how im doing and the companionship. We even did a role play hahaha. Which is where President pretended to be an investigator and I taught him. It was sick. President Thomas knows some deeeeeep doctrine so that was so sweet to talk with him.
– we found a few more new people that are gonna be awesome to teach. So that’s always a W
– Hawa is cleared for baptism!!! We’re planning on the 17 of February so we can make sure she’s totally prepared. So excited for you so keep praying for her!!!
– we had 14 people come to church yesterday 😳😳😳. That’s the most I’ve ever seen in Brewerville which was so awesome to see. Definitely a tender mercy to see all the hard work pay off. So now we just gotta keep going at it and help these people understand why it’s so important.
– George came back into town!!! He finally is back from the bush and it was so awesome to see him. We were walking to a lesson when Elder Esakalonga gets a call and doesn’t know who it is. He answered it and asked who it was. That’s when I hear George’s voice say “ahhh you didn’t save my number. Or you forgot your old papes voice.” that’s when I realized who Elder Esakalonga was talking to haha. I grabbed the phone and said George oh my gosh you’re back!!! So we rushed over to see him and he was just beaming to see us hahaha. So awesome to see the man again. We had an awesome study with him on the Atonement too. The coolest part was when he came back to church on Sunday and all the people were so happy to see him and welcoming him and hugging him. So awesome to see that too.
Other than the crazy stuff it’s been just the average week in Brewerville. Nothing too crazy just the usual stuff you see every day in Lib 🤣.
Invitation for da week:
I know I say this a lot. But I can’t say enough how true it is. The power of prayer is real guys. I’ve been on my knees talking to my Maker a looooot lately and it’s amazing how much of His hand I’ve seen in my life. So pray guys I can’t say it enough. Pray all day every day. Smile while you pray too. I promise you it’ll change your life.
Also go read your scriptures.
I was reading this last week in the New Testament in Matthew 5. The sermon on the mount for those who don’t know. Holy goodness there’s a lot of amazing stuff in there. I think I spent a few days just on the Beatitudes and stuff. Go STUDY it don’t just read it. And then APPLY it. And then PRAY about it. I think you get the point.
Anyways, mission life is still a grind and I’m loving life. Nothing better or anything I would want to be doing right now. Except maybe be eating a chicken chalupa and a baja blast from Taco Bell but whatever it’ll come one day I hope. Love you all and keep grinding! Keep praying! Keep reading your scriptures! And always remember to CARRY ON!!!
Oh and I almost forgot. This week will make me 6 months on my mission 😳😳😳. Actually insane how fast/slow/weird/dumb time is. It’s not real. So ya there’s that.
JESUS LOVES YOU BAWAY OOOOOOOOOO
Elder Good Man
