Hey everyone it’s another Pday out here in LIB.
So one of my guys a member in our branch told us a story the other day. His names Sekeh Morris so I decided to have him give a story that he likes. So I’ll attach it to the end haha. Just a little taste of Liberian humor I guess haha.
Anyway this week was just another awesome week out in Buchanan. We set some pretty high goals for this week but we were still able to achieve them. And even go above on a few! The Lord is definitely blessing us right now and it’s been so good.
Me and Elder Mfumundende were just walking down the road one day and got talking just about how our area is doing. We both were just saying how blessed and grateful we are to be together. Just being the best we can, working as hard as we can, and being as obedient as we can. Like for real we’re not perfect AT ALL. But we’re so happy we’re together to learn from each other. It feels amazing to go to bed every night just wasted because of the hard work with the sun and heat and everything.
We started a new game while we’re walking about. Basically it’s football (soccer for all you weirdos) but we play with all the garbage bottles on the road. To score it’s just to put a bottle through the other ones legs. We keep score every day and whoever is leading by the time we get back to the apartment, wins for the day. Let me tell you. It gets heated baway. But I am proud to say we’re tied 1-1 haha. It’s crazy how much my companion has made me love football. Don’t worry I’m still absolutely garbage. Like can’t even score a goal from 10 feet away. But it’s such an epic sport. Makes me wish sometimes that I continued in my glory days on the Green Tigers with my dad as my coach. Could’ve gone pro for sure.
We’ve been pretty busy this past week. I don’t really know why but it feels like the time is just flying. It’s so weird.
We only really had one day that was meh but I realize now that it was still a blessing that whole day. We taught only 4 lessons on Thursday cause almost every lesson fell through 🙃. But then I realized just how grateful I am to even get those lessons cause Liberia is just so ready for the gospel. Anyway we found some awesome people that day that we hope to meet again this next week.
For those thst haven’t had the chance, you all need to go through the talks from general conference. Theyre on the gospel library now so it’s a must to read them. Covenants are binding and powerful and life changing. It’s pretty simple but epic.
Anyway, nothing much new over here. Just continuing the grind of things. Praying for my boys on the Suns 🙏. At least we even made it to the playoffs haha. (shout out to Brother Bosen for the update) Also someone needs to keep me updated on these playoffs so I know how were doing. Like what the heck when did OKC become the best in the west?! Crazy and wild things going on. Must mean the Second Coming is coming soon. Also I need an update on the Masters. Miss watching sports.
