Whats up everyone it’s been an absolutely epic week. I want to start off with a funny and goofy and gross story that I thought my mom would love. 

This morning I went to make my normal breakfast of oatmeal. I opened a new bag of oats and put it in the pot to cook them. I saw a few bugs and stuff fall into the water but I just thought oh whatever Ill just take them out after theyre done cooking. So I finish fixing my oatmeal. It wasn’t until after I sat down when I realized how many of these tiny bugs were in my oatmeal. But my thought process went something like this. “Oh that’s a lot of bugs. Meh just some extra protein. I will not die. Just suffer small.” So then I continued to eat. Then I received a small prompting to go check the bag full of oats. So I did. To my surprise, I found that same bag FULL of bugs and worms of all types. So ya. I ate half a bowl full of oats/bugs/worms. Pray for my health 😁. It’s okay I won’t die I’ve done it before. 

Anyway this week was awesome I’ll give a few highlights. 

– We got transfer news. Me and Elder Mfumundende will be staying together in Buchanan! We do awesome together and have done some great work out here so we just gotta hope and pray that it continues! 

– We had a baptism on Saturday! We baptized four people but only 2 showed up to their confirmation yesterday because it was raining SOOOOOOOO much yesterday. Like some of our leadership didn’t even show up haha. It was wild. But we’re still hoping they’ll get confirmed next week! Pray for them ya? 

– Had two exchanges this last week. One with Elder Mortimer and Elder Hunt and the other one with Elder Cathey. Learned some epic stuff from all of them. I always love exchanges for those reasons. And it’s good to walk with other elders and in a new area and get to see some other parts of Liberia hah. 

– This one is just a true miracle. We had  Harbel Supermarket open in Buchanan!!! It’s basically Liberias version of a Costco. Gonna be so awesome but so bad cause all my money is gonna finish on junk food haha. Spent almost $20 today just on some pringles and some Cadbury and some Root Beer. But well worth it for real. 

– We had a pizza night with the Montoyas. It was so bussing and felt so good to eat some good ol homemade pizza again. The Montoyas are honestly just the best. 

– We had a YSA activity on Saturday which was awesome. Got to see my comp play some real football and boy oh boy that man can play. Back home he was playing semi pro so he can play good. We also got to play some basketball. It was just the coolest feeling playing basketball in the middle of Buchanan, Liberia. I was just smiling the whole time and having a great time. Even if my shot was broke and I felt like a total dad moving around out there. Couldn’t even jump like a foot off the ground it was wild hahaha. Proof I’ve lost so much muscle and weight haha.

Okay for the Spritual thought this week I was studying a lot about the Resurrection and the Second Coming. Holy crap some deep doctrine out there. Please go study it. It’s crazy crazy stuff for real. 

Honestly I’m literally just loving life out here and loving the work. Always smiling and always grinding. Please send updates on the Mesa boys, I want to know how playoffs go. And also. RIP THE SUNS. Won’t be surprised if tomorrow we get news that KD wants to go to the Timberwolves. What a bum.
