Whats up peeps! Quick birthday shout outs to my people. First, my sister Viv turned 10 on Saturday, crazy that she turned 10 and I hit 10 months the same day. Second, my brother from another mother Elder Jensen Ronald Thomas. Happy 19th bro. You’re a nerd. This last week was just another one of those weeks where you look back on and think “where the heck did that time go?” and also just thinking “gosh I’m so happy I’m on a mission”. But you know it’s weeks like these when you’re feeling the Spirit and just working hard that makes all the small small suffering just be so worth it. 

Highlights: 

– my comp almost got killed by a cow. We were walking down the road the other day when we come to our little shortcut thst we always use. Except this time it was blocked by a cow. My comp looked at me and asked if we should try and pass by it. I said send it bro. So he did. Not two steps after when the cow turned around and was about to charge my comp. I was out of there so quick 😂. All the people nearby were laughing when they saw me and my comp run away from this cow. Good news? We didn’t die. 

– Zone conference. Probably one of my favorite ones ever. President Thomas taught some awesome doctrine about the power of covenants, ordinances, and especially SAVING ordinances. I’m just so grateful for the Priesthood and the true Church to be able to partake in these amazing opportunities. Sister Thomas talked about our first interactions with people and more specifically making it about them. Not just about us. The APs gave instruction on asking questions and listening. And me and Elder Fufu gave our instruction which went very well. Got to play some bball after and got cut up by Sister Thomas. 

– saw two crazy things I will never unsee. Email personally if you wanna hear the crazy stories. It was wild 😳

– been absolutely loving my personal studies. They’ve been so powerful. So that leads us to 

Spiritual thought: Alma 5:14. It reads 

“And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?” 

I love this scripture because it’s asking us personally if we are doing the things we need to do to receive the answer to these questions. And the answer is simple. The pure and simple Doctrine of Christ.
