Ya hello people. This week was such an epic week where me and Elder Sumaila saw just a lot of hard work pay off! And to be honest, this week flewwwwwww by. But that’s just how it can be looking when you’re hard at work I guess. Oh ya today makes me 11 months out on the mish in case anyone wants to know 🙂

First of all, thanks to all the birthday wishes from around the world! It was pretty epic to spend one of my birthdays just out in the middle of West Africa teaching the gospel. Oh what a time to be alive. I got pretty spoiled too. I opened up a bag of Skittles I’ve been saving. Those were bussing but holy crap I didn’t realize how much sugar those had haha. My companion made me pizza for dinner. The Montoyas made me homemade cake and some baller ice cream. It was a pretty solid birthday. I’m finally 19. Now I’m just closer to the age people think I am.  Whenever I ask people how old they think I am they guess like 25 or 26. It’s crazy. But hey I’m only one year away from 20 so that’s progress. 

We were able to have a branch missionary like almost every day this week. It’s something I’ve been trying to be better at but sometimes people can be stubborn haha. But we may or may not have chastised, with love of course, some of our members to walk with us. And it worked haha so that was awesome! 

We ate cobo every day this week. Gosh I forgot how good Liberian food. But sheesh it can destroy my stomach haha. But it’s so good so I’m still gonna eat it hahaha. 

Rainy season is finally upon us. I’m wearing my janky rain boots every day cause the whole city is pretty much flooded haha.  Thank the heavens we have good drainage systems back home. Cause I pretty much just walk through sewage water the whole day. Sometimes the rain is tough but that doesn’t stop this work! The rain can beat us baway every day but the good news is that means people stay home. So we just go to each of their houses and teach them. So it’s truly just a blessing. 

Miracles!!! 

– We were able to teach one of our investigators wife this last week for the first time! She was pretty reluctant when we first started teaching a few months ago. But she opened up and now we’re studying with her small small. Pray the Spirit will help her to understand. 

– We had a few of our investigators show deep and sincere interest and baptism. So we’re super excited this week to talk to them about baptism and hopefully extend some baptism dates! 

– We had some people show up to church yesterday that we really did not expect. But boy oh boy we were happy to see them come! 

Anyway the work is good and I’m really just living the life out here. We’ve got two exchanges this week so those are gonna be epic. I’m always excited to learn new things and see new areas.
