Mission…mission is for real!

Another week gone and another week enjoyed haha.

Honestly nothing crazy happened this week so I’ll just keep it with some highlights.

– as for the title… Me and Elder Nyiketa were going to bed and just talking in the dark about life and the mission. It kind of got quiet for a second and then my man said something so valid and it was so funny at that time 😂. He just gave the biggest sigh ever and said, “Mission… mission is for real.” I don’t know why it was so funny, probably cause its so true but we both just started dying and now it’s kind of our catchphrase for the transfer hahaha!

– Wednesday we had Zone Conference and it was sweet! It’s always just good to sit down and let other people teach you about what really matters and that’s the gospel aspect. Our topic this last ZC was unity. President Thomas talked about some doctrine of unity and shared some awesome insights. First of all, we are supposed to be loyal and firstly united with the Lord. That one is the most important to us. To be united with the Lord in whatever state were in. Sister Thomas talked about joy and what we should be doing. She talked a lot about finding joy where you are right where you are at! Being halfway done with my mission it made me think quite a bit. I really do have joy in this work and I need to continue to find joy! Joy is unconditional and everlasting and eternal. Its something I want with my family forever. My favorite thing Sister Thomas said was “Do what you love and LOVE WHAT YOU DO!” I really need to enjoy where I am right now and love everything about this mission right now. Everything I had back home will be there when I get back, so for now I need to give my all to the Lord. We got some good instruction from the APs about uniting with members and we were also able to give our own instruction about how the handbook brings unity. It honestly turned out way better than I thought haha. So it was a great day.

– Thursday and Friday we were in our area the whole day which was awesome. I’m starting to understand the area but there is so much corner corner it’s kind of hard to understand sometimes. The faces and names are really giving me the hardest time but small small we continue to grind and help the best we can! My companion is a stud and legend for leading the area and I’m just helping the best I can!

– On Saturday, we got to go way in to Central Monrovia to help some elders with their baptism and do some baptism interviews. After the baptism, I finally got to go in to West Point. West Point is essentially the ghetto, the hood, or the zogo base for the whole of Liberia. That place is wild for real hahaha. Lot of poverty and crazy stuff I saw for just being one day there but it was sweet. Its also crazy how comfortable I feel just being in a place like that haha. To know I’m protected cause of the truth I am carrying is so sweet. Anyway, I get to go on an exchange there tomorrow so I’ll be able to spend a whole day there 💪.

– Sunday was rough for real. So small sickness for me and Elder Nyiketa. But the work continues and we push through. Other than that though, the Sabbath is always a great day!

– Looking forward to another great week this week. We got a bunch of exchanges so that’ll be fun for me to see some other areas. Finally get to explore the wonderful city of Monrovia!

Love ya all and keep killing it out there. Also let’s go USA for clutching up in the Olympics. America! Shout out my vball boys for the bronze and DBook and KD for the gold. We like those W’s.

Jesus loves you baway!
