Well this week was a wild one. It was super busy, super fun, super epic, and very tiring 😂.
Monday was transfer day. I don’t know how we did it but we were able to plan the whole transfer for the mission to take only one day. So we got started about 6:30 and got back around 6 in the evening. So we even had time to go teach a lesson after which was epic! It was super cool getting to meet and talk with all these missionaries from all over the world. Navigating through Liberian traffic was crazy but it’s pretty amazing how it all just works even though it’s so disorganised. That day was the first time I drank an energy drink in a long time and boy oh boy those things are powerful. I would highly encourage not to drink those cause sheesh I finally realize how bad they csn be for you 😂.
Tuesday we were able to spent most of the morning teaching in our area until the afternoon when we went to go drop off Elder Horlacher to the airport. Funny story but also terrible. When we arrived to the airport, Elder Horlacher went to get out of the car. The ground was covered in water and super slippery. The man ate it so hard. His whole back and pants were covered in this nasty water and mud. Brand new white shirt, ruined on his way home. We suggested changing it but he said nah whatever. It’s a funny story. So that was goofy haha.
Wednesday we had another day where we were able to spend the morning teaching. We had some meetings with President as well. And then in the evening we went out to collect the new missionaries coming in from the airport. We had all 14 missionaries come on one flight which was a blessing for real 🙏. It was so fun seeing these missionaries have their first taste of Liberia. Driving them to the mission home was also dope cause they were just asking us questions the whole time and we were able to talk with them. It just made me think all about when I first arrived too and how crazy it was. And then I look at how far I’ve come as a missionary and disciple of Christ. So awesome what the mission does. Anyway we got some bussing food from Sister Thomas and dessert so that’s always a W 😂.
Thursday we spent the whole day doing orientation and training with the new missionaries. And then in the afternoon and evening we drove the missionaries to their new areas. Now that was an adventure for them. Now that it was day they could see the whole thing of all the beautiful chaos of Liberia. Gosh I love this place so much.
Friday was the first full day I have had in this area where we were able to teach the whole day and have no interruptions. That was a very spiritual day filled with a lot of amazing lessons and people.
Anyway thars pretty much how my life has been like this week. It’s been super fun driving around and just talking with people. We’ve been super busy but im loving it cause I know I’m doing my best and pushing myself.
For a small spiritual thought, I want yall to read Mosiab 24. We read this with a few people this last week and they were some very powerful lessons. It teaches us about the importance of faith and the power of covenants. And that’s my assignment to all of you.
Hope yall are doing awesome back home or wherever you are. Hit me up with an update on how life is for all of you. Until next time, peace.
Jesus loves you baway!
Elder Good Man
