Welcome to another wonderful and exciting email for the week. This week was not bad just a lot of work and time in the office. But we can’t complain ain’t you know? Just gotta be grateful for what we got.
We had 3 zone conferences this week which were all pretty awesome and we learned some good things.
Monday – we had a bunch of office work to do so that took up pretty much our whole day haha. And than right before we were gonna head out to teach, some missionaries needed a ride so we lended a hand and did so.
Tuesday – we had our first ZC and it ended up being crazy haha. Just as we were about to start our meeting in the mission office, the power went out. So we went to turn on the generator and it turned out to be spoiled. So ya no power for the office which means we needed to find a backup plan and quick. So after about 30 minutes of suffering with no power, President Thomas decided to switch the ZC to the mission home. So we all hopped in the cars and drove over there. It was pretty fun and a good ZC.
Wednesday – we had another ZC for a different zone but everything in the office worked just fine 😅. So ya we were able to have a good and productive instruction as well. President Thomas is teaching some awesome things and I’m learning so much even when it’s the same! Sister Thomas’s instruction to is pretty genius and gonna help me for the rest of my life which is a huge bonus. My mission leaders are literally the best! Right after ZC, we drove some missionaries to their areas and then booked it over to some of the ZLs so we could start our exchange with them. So then I drove all the way back. Holy buns the roads are so bad. I will never complain about California roads or traffic ever again.
Thursday – finally got a day out in the field. I was back in Sinkor with Elder Domingos from Mozambique. That guys a stud and just a funny guy. We had a good exchange and taught some good lessons. Of course we had the usual lessons fall through but that’s just how it can be looking sometimes ain’t you know? So ya we went back in the evening, ended our exchange, and then drove back again. No small driving this week oooo.
Friday – had ANOTHER ZC for a different zone. This morning it was literally dumping rain. The whole city was flooded it was crazy. Like straight out of The Batman movie. Even our office parking lot was flooded like a foot of water. But thank goodness I got them waterproof shoes you know? Shout out PREACH Supply and Elder Beagley for getting me fitted up before the mission. Anyway after the ZC we drove missionaries back to their areas again and got home pretty late so that was fun.
Saturday – TODAY! Kind of just a casual P day so far. Ran some errands for the mission in the morning, did our shopping, and decided to go teach a bunch of our people cause we had no time in our area this week 😂. So ya that was fun. Everyone’s houses and communities are flooded because of all the insane rain these past few days. So that means all of our investigators are moving out of Sinkor because their houses are halfway filled with water 🥲. So ya pray for them ooo.
My spiritual thought I wanted to share is about faith. Faith is meaningless unless it is directed to someone or something. And as we all know, faith in Jesus Christ is the first principle in the gospel. Direct your faith to Him. Trust and have hope in Him. He is there.
Anyways that’s pretty much it haha. Just enjoying the ride for now. It’s a grind but there ain’t nothing like it. And that’s truly just how it can be looking. Catch yall on the flip side.
Jesus loves you baway!
Elder Good Man
