This week was another grind out here in Liberia. It went by so fast and it was an adventure every day. It’s soo epic!
First of all, I got to go play volleyball on Monday! Our zone was having a Zone activity and President gave us permission to go join them for a couple hours. So we balled for real. I really miss some quality volleyball 😂. It’s always fun to play no matter what. But it’s a different level when you play with people that can play too. But I’m just grateful I got to do something I love so much. But it also helped me realize how out of shape I am and how I’ve lost like all my skills. But anyways that’s the sacrifice I guess.
Tuesday we went up to Totota for another Zone Conference. It was soo cool being up there with all these awesome missionaries who are all just trying their best. While we were singing our hymns, dang the spirit was so strong! I was just looking out at the bush and realised how awesome it is to be out here. I’m telling you, it just hits you at random times about how cool this experience is. I wouldn’t trade anything for it.
Wednesday we had an exchange up in an area called Gbarnga. I was with an Elder Morgan and we had a great day walking through the bush teaching and talking to people. It was a solid day. My favorite part was when we showed up to this house that was full of deaf people. With my limited sign, I introduced myself, gave them a pamphlet at their request. As we were leaving I felt prompted to sign back one last thing “Jesus loves you.” Dang the smiles on their faces made my day! So sweet. 90
Thursday and Friday we had some more zone conferences to finish off our week. And all of our zone conferences for the transfer 🙌. And that’s where I kind of want to focus on for this next part and explain what I learned.
President Thomas was talking about how miracles are real, and that with God all things are possible. We also talked about the power of “AND”, whenever it seems impossible or hard to do two things at once… Do both of them! For example, when we’re trying to teach or find, we can teach AND find. So ya it was sweet.
The scripture that really stood out to me though was Moroni 7:29. It reads, “And because he hath done this, my beloved brethren, have miracles ceased? Behold I say unto you, Nay; neither have angels ceased to minister unto the children of men.”
Miracles have not ceased. I know that because Ive experienced plenty on the mission. Whether huge or tiny, they still happen.
The one that I have an even stronger testimony about is that angels still continue to minister to us today. I can’t tell you all the spiritual and sacred experiences I’ve had with the angels in my life, but I can tell you they are there and they are real. Angels guard and protect and strengthen us every day.
Anyways it’s gonna be a fun next week with a lot of meetings but I’m excited to get to work and see what the Lord has planned for us! See yall later
Jesus loves you baway
Elder Good Man
