If you give a mouse a cookie…

Welcome back to anther weekly.

I have officially found the best way to describe Liberia. It goes as follows: “If you give a mouse a cookie, he’ll want a glass of milk with it.” I realized after who knows how many years what the meaning of that book really is. And it describes Liberia so well. Because if you give people small thing, they will want big thing with it. If you know you know.

But actually though the Liberian people are the most generous people ever. 9/10 when you go to a lesson, they want you to stay long enough for the rice to finish cooking so yall can eat together. Even when they don’t have enough for themselves, they’ll give you more rice than their own, the most soup, and the best meat. (it’s always chicken or pig feet, yes it’s bussing). I love these people so much.

This week was awesome and we worked so hard! Got a lot of stuff done, for both the area and the branch. Met almost all of our goals but we coming back at it again this week for sure. It’s gonna be epic.

We somehow got 3 different referrals this week from people living in the states. It’s insane. So more people to teach. Hoorah!

Starting the BOM over again has been lovely. Absolutely lovely. And PMG has been epic too.

We had a baptism! Emmanuel Bembo and Urey Kokeh both got baptized! Emmanuel has been coming to church since 2019, when a group was opened here in Ganta. Because of some circumstances, he wasn’t able to be baptized right away but has stayed strong. And now he’s a baptized and confirmed member of the Church! Hoorah!

Other than that it’s been a grind and a lot of ups and downs. But we fighting it. Just gotta have fun while we’re doing it. No small work and miracles but we manage it. At least.

Any who I think that’s it for this week. Shoutout to Rory for getting the W at the Masters. Legend.

Jesus loves you baway!
